9) (THE TEN COMMANDMENTS)
You shall have no other gods before me.
You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandment.
You shall not misuse the name of the e Lord your God, for the lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuse his name.
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your man servant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath and made it holy.
Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
Exodus 20:3-17

10) Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.
Exodus 20:23

11) Worship the Lord your God and his blessing will be on your food and water.
Exodus 23:25

12) If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you.
Exodus 33:13

13) My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
Exodus 33:14

14) If your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.
Exodus 33:15

15) I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Exodus 33:19

16) The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.
Exodus 34:6,7

17) Do not worship any other God, for the Lord whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
Exodus 34: 14

I am glad you included the Ten Commandments in your favorite verses. They are very important.

Some traditional Christians think that the Ten Commandments were done away when Christ died, but as I pointed out in my blog, there are many scriptures in the New Testament that show that the Ten Commandments are still in force.

I enjoyed your blog.

Wow thanks for sharing! I love how you titled this blog "Favorite or important..." because no scripture is better than the other. They're all God's Word! Thanks for including the 10 Commandments too.
