The Poor Need the Lord

RockYou FXText

Hi to all my friends in multiply its been a while since I posted a blog, just wanted to share message with you called “The Poor Need the Lord”. Read fully and feel free to share your thoughts.

As the year of 2008 ended, I really felt bad that I had not done anything for the people who do not know the Lord. As the word says “The harvest is plenty but the workers are few” in the same way there are very few God’s children who want to put seed into others person life but to reach them out, there are many more to be preached to. Here are some of my thoughts on poor people. I write this article based on my real life experience from the past to present.

Today millions of people are without basic needs and suffering from disease, I know what it is to be sick and healthy and to live in slums and cities, when our health goes down we cry to the Lord for mercy during that time, just think about the poor people how bad they might be without proper treatment for even longer periods. Many times in my life I have helped the poor with supplying cash and clothes. That is what they need for living but did you know that they need something more important than that? They need the Lord, if they don’t have the Lord they will have to beg for the rest of their life not knowing the truth where their real food and shelter comes from.

If they know the real source (Jesus) of getting to know the saviour they wouldn’t be begging. Let me give you an example from the Bible Acts 3:2-8 talk about the crippled beggar who used to begging in temple gates beautiful for money, when he looks or asks to Peter and John, Peter says look at us and he says Silver or Gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth walk and the crippled beggar walked after peter had helped him. Sometimes money is not everything to feed the poor, Gospel comes first because the “Word is God” and then comes other necessities to feed the poor. If the poor man knows the Lord then he will definitely not be hungry because his spiritual hunger for God will transform into supernatural ways in which God can help the poor. There is another example from the Bible the Samaritan women and Jesus I don’t want to get into too detail I will give you a glance through. Jesus asks the Samaritan women for water but she replies "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?
The answer by Jesus Goes like this
“Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water." The woman said to him, "Sir, you have no bucket, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water? Are you greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us the well, and with his sons and his flocks drank from it?” Jesus said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, so that I may never be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water.”

In the same way when we tell the testimony of Jesus to the poor, you must know that people need the Lord because we know, that is what will spring up as eternal life into that person. If you had told him about Jesus then you have not only fed the poor but you have told him the truth to eternal life (i.e. Jesus is the only Way) so that one day when he see’s our father in heaven one day he will rejoice over the Lord and thank God for his mercy that has rescued him. The message is very clear whether you are rich or poor everyone need’s the word of the Lord .Even though you physically supply a poor he will be hungry and hungry coming after you for more money and supplies. If he had known the truth of salvation he would be like one of us. Today there are many organizations helping the poor providing them food shelter and other vaccination program to help them cure from disease. Nation’s think through physical supplies they can help the third world countries through Distributing food supplies, clean water and other medication.

If people repent and believe, the Lord will even give wisdom to the poor nations in such a way they are under his arms to protect them from all circumstances and calamities wont come upon them even HIV could be cured. Is the hand of the Lord too short to save a person who calls on the name of the Lord? Therefore Spiritual blessings can transform into supernatural blessings which can bless a person in both ways spiritually and materially. Spread the word of God and make is name known through all class of people. For the word of God that we speak will not only help others grow but will help us edify ourselves that our Mighty God Lives in us.

The challenge to do this might seem hard but if we live with the Fear of the Lord we have no fear over anything that can stop us from preaching the love of Christ which God has shown us through the cross. Are you ready to carry the cross and live for him ?
God bless all of you …..
